Celebrate Love and Diversity: Pride Activities Near Wilmington for 2023

It’s time to celebrate PRIDE, River House! This year, showing support for the LGBTQIA+ community is as important as ever, and there are so many ways to do just that. These events close to our Wilmington apartments are statements of love, support, and acceptance for everyone, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity.

Here’s 5 great events in Wilmington and beyond where you can get loud and proud this month.

  1. Delaware Pride Festival @ Legislative Hall | June 10



The Delaware Pride Festival is a family-friendly event and people of all ages and sexual orientations are welcome. The Delaware Pride Festival is the single largest LGBTQIA gathering in Delaware, giving the community needed exposure and recognition by promoting platforms for expressing diversity and creating a more visible and united LGBTQIA community.

This year’s festival will be emceed by Austin Armacost and will feature entertainment including Lavender Browne, The Rainbow Chorale of Delaware, 2023 Miss Gay Wilmington - Princess Escade and more! The event is free and open to the public.

  1. Delaware County Pride Festival 2023 | June 10



Delaware County keeps the party going with Delco Pride 2023. The festival offers food vendors, a live DJ, music and dancing, face and nail painting, kid-friendly activities, and much more. This event is free to attend, but tickets are required.

  1. Our Night Out Wilmington @ Constitution Yards | June 15

Join ONO Wilmington at Constitution Yards on June 15 to celebrate PRIDE! Grab your friends and come out in your most colorful outfits to have a few drinks, play a few games, and stay a while. It’ll be a big night!

Join Nuestras Raices Delaware for Pride in the Park on June 17th. Enjoy some games, good vibes, and be sure to bring a picnic or blanket for another great year of family fun and connecting.

  1. Pride Day @ Brandywine Zoo | June 24

Join The Brandywine Zoo for its third annual pride day! Wear your pride gear to the zoo for a fun day of education programming, a scavenger hunt, story time, and more!
